That's right. THE ULTIMATE LOVE SONG OF every teenager in 1994! ;)
Okay so these guys have been kinda M.I.A. keeping a low profile for the longest time. I mean. They came out with one album . . . wait no . . . maybe 2? No. I just checked. I'm wrong. Apparently they have 12 albums out—most of which are compilations of songs off of their 2 main albums. Although, to be fair, iTunes lists that they have 2 Greatest Hits albums from 2004 alone. 2004 Must've been a slow year. In any event, after their 2005 release, which has 5 (count 'em, 5) songs on it . . . which are all songs off of their First album . . . they're back!
Crazy I know!
But it's SO true. I mean, all I remember from All-4-One is sitting in a hospital bed for 10 days watching VH1 and the music video for I SWEAR was on HEAVY rotation. So like. . . I knew all the lyrics (which aren't really hard to remember) by like the 1st night I was in there.
And so I'm looking through the iTunes store the other day and BAM!—there they are! In all their older r&b guy group glory!
It's so weird to me that they're back. I mean, it's like the equivalent of what might happen if Hanson popped back into the music scene! . . . wait . . . what? . . . oh. . . they have? Gotcha. They have. Well crap, then bring back SWV!!!!
So anyway, I listened to some of their new album online and some of it sounds okay, some not so much, some is just kinda "eh." I'm still not sold on whether or not to buy it.
Sorry, All-4-One, I just don't know if 'I Can Love You Like That' anymore. It's been so long. We've got so much catching up to do. (bah-dum-bum)
Oh come on. A little cheesiness goes a long way! Just ask Weird Al.
